The Tanzanian artist Edward Saidi Tingatinga founded a unigue African art form named after him at the end of the 60's. After his death, relatives and friends ensured that his work was continued in the "Tingaringa Arts Co-operative Society" . Selling the pictures is now a livelihood for many Tanzanians.
